The Result: The customer now receives a part that
meets their tolerances and their price goals.
A customer has a high volume part that is very price sensitive.
With a goal of reducing the part price, yet not selling the part at a
loss, Delta t developed a more automated process. This process took
labor out of the part and replaced it with automatic processes. Delta t
made a machine that reduced the amount of labor needed to fabricate the
part.
In addition, the customer needed twist dimension tolerances that Delta
t's twist machines were incapable of making. Delta t built an additional
(new) twist machine that was able to make a twist tube at the tighter
tolerances needed by this customer.
Delta t has another new satisfied customer that is happy with the part
and service.
